Aaliyah Poster Review

by
Rock and The King

"The new self-titled Aaliyah poster photo with a lavender background shows a beautiful young woman maturing from her funky rebellious past into a vision of elegance. Her eyes and expression look as if they are questioning us. The shot is not flawless - the way she squeezes her arm suggests that she is posing and has been in that position too long, and the glare off her shoulder implies a crude makeup job and poor lighting for the picture. Though when you look back in her eyes, it's easy to forget those minor flaws."
"Rock" at Rock Poster Review

"Yeah, I know this is a rock poster review, but give me a little slack on this one. Any discussion of Aaliyah posters has to include the shots of her character in the Movie "Queen of the Damned." She played that character perfectly, and would have had brilliant future ahead of her. Though she was taken from us in August 2001, a long string of great R&B hits and a beautiful set of poster photos stay with us. Her lovely voice and pretty face will always be there to rock us slowly."
